Born in 1977 in Troyes, Alban Michon is a French explorer specializing in polar expeditions and ice diving. He discovers scuba diving at the age of 11 and quickly decides to make it his vocation. At 22, he became the owner of the ice diving school in Tignes, Savoie, where he trains divers in extreme conditions.
Remarkable Expeditions
Alban Michon has participated in several major expeditions, combining human adventure and scientific research:
2010: "Deepsea Under The Pole" Expedition
For 45 days, he conducts dives under the Arctic ice at the geographic North Pole, contributing to research on global warming.
2012: "The White Trap" Expedition to Greenland
He travels 1,000 km by sea kayak along the east coast of Greenland, exploring the seabed beneath the icebergs.
2018: "Arktic" Expedition
Alban crosses the Northwest Passage alone in 62 days, conducting scientific sampling in extreme conditions.
Founder of the School of Explorers
In 2020, Alban founded the School of Explorers in Tignes, a unique institution that trains future adventurers in polar survival, ice diving, and expedition preparation in the most hostile environments.

Passionné par les régions polaires et la plongée sous-marine, Alban Michon est un aventurier et explorateur français qui a pris part à des expéditions exceptionnelles.
En 2010, il plonge au Pôle Nord géographique. En 2012, il parcourt 1000km en kayak de mer le long de la côte groenlandaise, et s’immerge sous les icebergs.
En 2018, il part 62 jours en solitaire sur la banquise du passage du Nord-Ouest dans le grand nord Canadien.
Depuis toujours, Alban Michon a un goût prononcé pour l’aventure.
A onze ans, il découvre la plongée sous-marine, et il est tout juste majeur lorsqu’il débute les saisons en Corse et à Porquerolles comme moniteur. A 22 ans, il achète l’école de plongée sous-glace de Tignes (Savoie, France), puis le centre de plongée souterraine des Vasques du Quercy (Lot, France). Très vite, Alban devient la référence en matière de plongée sous glace et souterraine. Ils viennent de toute l’Europe, amateurs et professionnels, s’essayer aux techniques de ces immersions insolites.
En 2020 il ouvre l'Ecole des explorateurs à Tignes. Il forme, conseil et oriente toutes les personnes ayant des projets en lien avec le monde des aventures, de la technologie ou de la science
